This small shrub grows fast, up to 3’ per year, reaching a max height of 8-15’. It grows well in various soil types, but prefers areas with consistent moisture. This shrub is actually not a true cranberry, as it is a member of the honeysuckle family. However, their fruits (drupes) resemble cranberries in both taste and appearance. If you choose to eat them, watch out for the seed! It is not very palatable. It is a popular landscape choice for a screening hedge.
