This rhubarb is a perennial that reaches approximately 2-3 ft tall at maturity with a 2 ft spread. At maturity, it will produce 4-12 lb of stalks per crown. The stalks of this variety are known for their natural sweetness and the retention of their bright red color even after cooking.


Grows best in well drained, loamy soil with a pH between 5.5 - 7. It is frost/cold tolerant, but will not tolerate standing water. 


Full sun to partial shade - minimum of 4 hrs. per day of sunlight
