The Black Willow tree grows fast at 3'-4' per year and reaches a maximum height of 30'-60' with a spread of 30'. It grows well in a variety of soil types, but prefers wet areas. It is valuable to bees for honey production and provides a food source for a variety of other wildlife. This tree is also a great stream bank stabilizer.
