The Saskatoon Serviceberry is a small shrub that grows about 1' per year. It may reach 6'-9' feet in height. They grow in various soil types, but prefers loamy, moist, well-drained soils. In the spring, it has attractive white flowers that mature into bluish berries in the summer months. The sweet berries are very popular for both bird and human consumption. This serviceberry also has nice red and yellow fall color.
